2025 Equitable Cities Collab: Cities for People & the Planet
Join a community of global practitioners and doers that will meet online several times a year (we’re shooting for at least 3 times in 2025!) to discuss the challenges and opportunities that cities face in becoming more equitable and environmentally sustainable, and how we can move the needle faster together.
What: Three 90-minute sessions (or “Collabs”) currently planned for 2025. Shooting for July, September and November.
Topics that we will cover include inclusive growth, planning for equity, sustainable development, community wealth-building and more. We’ll get your input to pick our topics!
Participants will receive a few readings and videos to review in advance of each Collab. Nothing intensive - for those who don’t have time to read entire books, we’ll highlight chapters of interest.
Maurice Jones and I have partnered to facilitate these sessions in the most engaging and collaborative way we can. Our plan is to apply the following format:
We’ll provide a succinct overview of the topic of discussion, including key themes and ideas from the materials distributed;
We’ll engage the group in a discussion to share ideas, knowledge and opportunities for peer-learning.
The final 15 minutes will be devoted to structured community-building and networking among participants.
All interested participants will be asked to fill out a short form about their personal and professional background in order to curate the most productive, engaging conversations possible. If you have someone in your network you’d like us to invite, we’d welcome a referral!
The $200 price tag covers three sessions. The goal is for the Collabs to be financially accessible and open to practitioners around the world. Discounted rates are available upon request if the cost is prohibitive to participating.
If you have any questions or require a discounted rate, don’t hesitate to reach out. Email us at: sylvie@equitablecitiescollaborative.com
